Who is laurenzostylez?
The art of hair has been a lifelong passion for Lauren White. Growing up in a family involved in the beauty industry, it felt natural for her to pursue a career as a hairstylist. While her two brothers chose different paths, Lauren was the one drawn to the family craft. She often accompanied her parents to work and quickly became fascinated with the creativity of hairstyling. At home, she practiced styles on dolls and mannequin heads, inspired by the techniques she watched her mother perform in the salon.
Lauren’s passion started early. At just five years old, she even attempted to cut her younger brother Brandon’s hair. By age 13, she officially began working as a salon assistant, gaining hands-on experience and developing a strong foundation in the industry.
Determined to refine her skills, Lauren attended Paul Mitchell The School Jessup, where she completed her training and earned her cosmetology license in 2022. With her education complete, her professional career as a hairstylist officially began.
Since earning her license, Lauren has worked diligently to build her reputation as the best option for a professional hairstylist and quality natural hair specialist in Columbia, Maryland. She specializes in natural hair care, custom color, precision cuts, and luxury extensions. Known for her attention to detail and commitment to healthy hair, Lauren creates styles that enhance each client’s natural beauty while maintaining the integrity of their hair.
Committed to continuous growth, Lauren embraces the mindset of being a lifelong student of the beauty industry. Even after receiving her license, she continued expanding her knowledge through mentorship with Evie Johnson. Today, she serves her growing clientele from her salon suite in Columbia, Maryland, where she is quickly becoming recognized as one of the best hairstylists in Columbia, MD.
Lauren’s talent has also earned industry recognition. She was featured in The DMV Illest Hairstylist Magazine – The Next Generation, highlighting rising talent in the region. In addition, Lauren became a Mizani Artist, where she educates beauty professionals on product knowledge and techniques, participates in hair shows, and styles models for campaigns.
Although she has already achieved impressive milestones, Lauren believes she is only getting started. Her mission goes beyond hairstyling — she is passionate about helping women feel confident, seen, and empowered.
Lauren shares:
“Growing up, I struggled with self-confidence. As I got older, I realized beauty has no limits. My goal is for every woman who sits in my chair to see her own beauty. True beauty already exists within you — my job is to help bring it to light.”
